Privacy & Cookies
This page explains what happens to personal information when you use this website. It is written to be read, not to be waded through.
Who is responsible
Fabrice Café Brasserie is operated by Fabrice Cafe Grill & Steak Bar Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14592952), whose registered office is The Hub, Unit 500B Dakota House, 30 Mortimer Square, Milton Keynes MK9 2FB. In data protection terms we are the controller for the information described below.
If you have any question about this notice, or you want to exercise any of the rights further down this page, email [email protected] or write to us at the address above.
This site does not use cookies
We set no cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
We do measure how the site is used, with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It was chosen precisely because it is cookieless: it records the page visited, the referring site, the country, and general device and browser type. It does not build a profile of you, does not follow you elsewhere, and does not store your IP address. We use it to see which pages are actually useful, which is our legitimate interest in running the site sensibly (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
When you send us an enquiry
If you fill in the private hire enquiry form, you send us your name, email address and message, and optionally your phone number, the number of guests and which location you have in mind.
That form does not save anything to a database. It becomes an email to our own inbox, so we can reply to you. We use it to answer your enquiry and to arrange your booking if it goes ahead. The lawful basis is that we are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), and, where the enquiry does not lead to a booking, our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
Please do not send us health information, dietary requirements tied to a medical condition, or any other sensitive detail through this form. Tell us in person or by phone when you arrive, and we will handle it there.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can look back at what was agreed for an event, and are then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a booking that we invoice, the accounting records are kept for six years because HMRC requires it. Cloudflare Web Analytics data is aggregated and holds nothing that identifies you.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. A small number of suppliers process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
- Resend, Inc. — delivers the enquiry form to our inbox as an email.
- Hagawebb (Isak Mesihovic, Gothenburg, Sweden) — builds and maintains this website, and may see personal data incidentally while doing so.
Some of these suppliers are outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the appropriate safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Booking a table or buying a voucher
Our reservation and gift voucher links take you to a separate website operated by our booking provider. Once you are there, that provider handles your information under its own privacy policy and its own cookies, not this one. Please read their notice before you enter your details.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask for it in a portable form. There is no charge, and we will answer within one month.
To make a request, email [email protected].
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by phone on 0303 123 1113, or in writing to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
